10 Ways to De-stress @ your Desk

Have you ever looked like this at your desk? It’s easy to become overwhelmed at work, and it can seem like work never ends. Here are some tips to remember when you are stressed out at work:

1) Keep your daily to do list very short

2) One thing at a time. Set aside multi-tasking time on your schedule.

3) Keep a very simple workspace & include photos of your friends and family

4) Delegate responsibility to others

5) Leave earlier in the morning

6) Plan regular breaks

7) Initiate positive relationships

8) Schedule time off – long weekends vs. long vacation

9) Take a lunch break!

10) Practice the 4 D’s when reviewing email initially - Delete: you can probably delete half the emails you get immediately. Do: if the email is urgent or can be completed quickly. Delegate: if the email can be better dealt with by someone else. Defer: set aside time later to spend on emails that require longer action.
